Daniel Connell
Daniel Connell is making 2017 count. Off the back of incredibly consistent festival shows over the last few years, Daniel made his debut on the Oxfam Comedy Gala (ABC) to kick off the 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Amongst a cavalcade of top-drawer international comedians Daniel not only looked right at home, but excelled.
His incredible performance on the Gala carried over to the stage with his show ‘Stacks On’ selling out regularly. Such was the demand, two extra shows were added to Daniel’s run in Melbourne. Word is starting to spread that a Daniel Connell show is “definitely a must see” (Herald Sun).
Since graduating from the MICF comedy nursery The Comedy Zone in 2011, Daniel has rubbed shoulders on stage with just about every notable Australian comedian. His razor sharp wit and broad appeal has found him a home in the writer’s room for The Project (Channel10).
His natural style and affable nature sees Connell delight audiences not only on the festival circuit, but also in regional Australia. This year even more of Australia will get to know Daniel as he joins the Sydney Comedy Festival Showcase tour.
"It's not often a comedian can have the whole room laughing for more than an hour without so much as raising their voice - definitely a must see in the comedy festival" - Herald Sun
"After an hour in his company you're chilled out and smiling. Damned if I know how he does it." - The Age
